New York-Sana

Iran's permanent representative to the United Nations Majid Takht Rawanji affirmed that there is no need to negotiate for America's return to its obligations under the nuclear agreement.

Takht Rawanji said in a statement that the embargo measures must be lifted up to the next 3 months, and in this case Iran will act in accordance with its obligations, stressing that the measures taken by his country after America's exit from the nuclear agreement are not considered an escalation of tension.

In May 2018, former US President Donald Trump announced his country's withdrawal from the nuclear agreement between Iran and the P5 + 1 group and the reinstatement of sanctions against Tehran in defiance of the will of the international community and a violation of international resolutions in this regard.

The UN Security Council unanimously adopted its members in 2015, through Resolution 2231, of the Joint Comprehensive Action Plan that the signatories to the nuclear agreement reached in July of the same year.
