In San Fernando,

Mauro Gastón Suárez

, who worked as a nurse at the

Petrona de Cordero Interzonal Hospital

, died after spending more than 40 days in the hospital.

He had contracted coronavirus and was fighting the aftermath of the disease.

His colleagues echoed the tragic situation and gave a heartbreaking farewell to the man who

had

recently

turned 35

.

Thus, amid cries and generalized grief, the hospital staff where Suárez worked for almost a decade

honored him with loud and sustained applause

as the funeral procession passed (and stopped) through the

door of the

health

institution

, located in Belgrano 1955.

goodbye to Mauro with a closed applause that lasted several minutes,

Suárez had arrived at

Petrona V. de Cordero

on September 1, 2011, when he

was only 25 years old

(he was born on January 6, 1986).

At the time of his death, which occurred on Monday, February 22, he

was one of the nurses on duty

at the hospital.

Those who knew Mauro Suárez highlighted his good predisposition, with a smile from ear to ear, to attend and help his patients.

, a nursing professional who

loved his job

and was always

willing to help those who need it

", they recalled, with heartfelt words, from their workplace.

And then, they highlighted: "It was common to see him

and the good vibes he had us used to."

The young nurse

had contracted coronavirus a few months ago

and had to remain

hospitalized for more than forty days

as part of the battle that gave him the

aftermath

that the disease left him.

As a result of these complications, Suárez recently lost his life.

He had a wife and two young children

.

"It is very sad news. He really was a being of light and he loved his work. Thank you, Mauro. We are going to miss you. May the light that has no end shine for you. I accompany the pain of your family and friends," he lamented Viviana, a neighbor of San Fernando.

And Xoana added on social networks: "We will always remember you. I still remember the nights you stayed studying to receive you. A lot of strength for your wife and children. May you rest in peace."
