Almost a month and a half after the incident, Yuriy is doing much better, but his health remains fragile.
His memories of the assault are very vague.
An aggression of incredible violence
As a reminder, after his assault on January 15 on the Beaugrenelle slab, Yuriy had been in a coma for a week.
On a video, which had leaked on social networks on January 22, we can see a dozen individuals hounding him with incredible violence.
While Yuriy is on the ground, the individuals in question - notably armed with crutches and a hammer - kick him repeatedly in the head and leave him for dead, before fleeing.
"
He told me he was afraid of dying,
" said the schoolboy's mother, just after the assault.
To date, eleven young people from Vanves have been indicted in this case, in particular for "
attempted murder
".
Six are currently in pre-trial detention.
Investigators favor the track of a settling of scores between teenagers from rival neighborhoods, after a previous assault on January 10, a few days before that of Yuriy.
