In its plan for the next phase, the Ministry of Tourism is working to overcome obstacles, provide facilities, incentives and loans to investors, and address administrative and legal problems to rehabilitate tourist facilities after some of them stopped and others stumbled due to the repercussions of the war on Syria.

Assistant Minister of Tourism for Projects, Planning and Tourism Investment Eng. Ghayath Al-Farah indicated in a statement to SANA the importance of revitalizing the tourism sector as it is one of the sectors most affected by the war despite the start of its recovery, explaining that the ministry has put in place several frameworks to address the reality of private sector projects duly licensed in coordination with the Ministries of Finance and Economy And provide financial support to investors.

Al-Farah revealed that he is seeking to revitalize tourism lending to complete the rehabilitation of projects in which the completion rate has reached more than 40 or 50 percent, noting the importance of job opportunities provided by these projects, especially for young people during the construction and investment period.

With regard to projects that face administrative and legal problems among Al-Farah, the ministry has set up frameworks to address these obstacles that will be circulated to all projects whose launch is delayed as a result of that, as coordination has been made with the concerned authorities to complete the procedures that would accelerate their re-launch and put them in investment in a way that secures a good tourism structure that keeps pace with the stage. Current and upcoming.

According to Al-Farah, the ministry supervises tourism projects, whether for the private sector or "BOT" projects that are contracted through the Tourism Investment Forum, indicating that incentives are provided to investors and granting them benefits and facilities to rehabilitate facilities that have been damaged by terrorism and that have not entered into investment due to the repercussions of the war.

Regarding the obstacles that hinder the work of tourism facilities in light of the current circumstances, especially the financial and high prices, Al-Farah pointed out that the ministry has completed a "financial contractual balance" for the contracted projects with an annual investment allowance and a mechanism has been set up to calculate the delay periods for the implementation of projects in a way that guarantees the right of the owner and the investor, explaining that Whoever completes his project within a specified period will be granted an additional period of investment equivalent to about 10 percent of the basic period granted to him, as the situation of more than 23 stalled projects has been dealt with in this formula and there are still projects that are negotiated with investors.
