Georg Huber is the new chairman of the CSU local association Bockhorn.

The 48-year-old farmer from Oppolding got the trust of all 17 eligible voters at the annual general meeting at Gasthaus Bauer on Wednesday evening.

Huber succeeds Bernhard Stein.

The incumbent local council from Maierklopfen held the chair for ten years.

At the beginning of the meeting, Kirchasch - Stein explained the unusual setting in the hall, in which the guests could sit far apart: “Not everyone in the citizenry understood why we were meeting here.

But delegates to the district council meeting must be elected by the end of February.

That is why, because our party demands a presence election, we chose the room here.

This meeting is constitutionally protected and also permissible in accordance with the current infection control measures in Bavaria. ”All participants had to wear FFP2 masks, drinks could be bought at the entrance, and there was no food offer.

Because of the corona pandemic, the CSU local association had not been able to hold meetings for a year, as Stein mentioned in his review.

"Nevertheless, we have achieved a lot, have submitted various applications to the municipal council, advocated a possible retail trade in the industrial park and also advocate good local supplies in the new Kirchasch building area."

The local association currently has 80 members with an average age of 61 years, ten entries compared to 14 exits.

Stein said: "Of course, dissatisfaction with the current government policy also played a role here." After ten years, he himself no longer wanted to run for chairman.

Because with a critical self-perception, he found that in the current situation of the community a somewhat stronger CSU appearance was necessary - “as a person, however, maybe I am too harmonious”.

He will continue to get involved in the local council, for example for mobile communications: "We want and need better coverage."

Georg Huber, the new chairman and husband of Sabine Huber, councilor and 2020 candidate for the mayor's office, sees the situation of his party in a similar way: “We have to reinvent ourselves again and again.

I myself have a lot of desire for the future after I have run in order in my career.

After all, progress has always been part of the CSU tradition. "

According to the report by Treasurer Gernot Gassner, who had around 20,600 euros in income and 16,800 euros in expenditure, the elections took place.

The chairman is Georg Huber; Franz Auer jun., Josef Vieregg and Michael Stock (also digital officer) were elected as his deputies.

Treasurer Gernot Gassner is responsible for the finances, Benjamin Brückner acts as secretary.

The assessors are Bernhard Stein, Christine Westermaier, Sabine Huber, Michael Hackl, Rudolf Buchmeier and Markus Maier.

The following were elected as delegates to the district representative assembly: Bernhard Stein, Christine Westermaier, Georg Mesner, Markus Maier, Gernot Gassner, Josef Vieregg, Michael Stock, Franz Auer jun.

and Georg Huber.

Substitute delegates are Sabine Huber, Michael Hackl, Rainer Graf, Claus Lechner, Johannes Stein, Rudolf Buchmeier, Markus Kaiser, Alois Ober and Josef Czech.

District Administrator Martin Bayerstorfer emphasized at the end: “Because of the federal election in autumn, the election of the delegates was very important.

Democracy now requires discussion of opinions. ”In addition, Bayerstorfer campaigned for the district's housing model with hire purchase:“ By offsetting 80 percent of the rent payments against later ownership of their own apartment, more citizens will now be able to afford a property with us. ”
