An 87-year-old man with dementia disappeared while shopping with his wife.
That evening, the police had been looking for the man with helicopters and search dogs - in the vicinity of the disappearance in the Grubmühlerfeldstrasse area.
The search was canceled in the evening.
On Friday morning, fire brigades, including Gauting and Stockdorf, DLRG, water rescue service, police and DLRG dog squadron continued the search.
The helper seemed possible that the man had fallen into the worm, which was therefore searched from a boat.
After just under an hour and a half, the operation was canceled - the man had been found.
“At around 8:45 am, the police were informed that a workshop owner had found a man on the pavement in front of the workshop on the premises of the Asklepios Clinic.
The person found was the missing man from Gauting.
Although he had been outdoors all night, he was taken to hospital apparently unharmed, but hypothermic.
However, the senior was found in a completely different area of Gauting, such as the search area, ”said Gauting's police chief Ernst Wiedemann.
