More than 400 prisoners are wanted by the police in Haiti, following their escape Thursday, during which 25 people were killed, including the director of the prison located in the suburbs of the capital, announced Friday the authorities.

“Before yesterday's incident, there were 1,542 prisoners in Croix-des-Bouquets prison. The count made this morning Friday shows us that 1,125 prisoners are in cells, ”
Frantz Exantus, Secretary of State for Communication, announced on Friday afternoon at a press conference in Port-au-Prince.
"Twenty-five people died among which six prisoners and the divisional inspector Paul Hector Joseph who was in charge of the prison"
, added Frantz Exantus.
