A rumor worries parents who have their children looked after in the Sterntaler crèche on Wildmoosstrasse: They fear the facility will end.

Head Isabel Leisering reassures: That is not the case.

Groebenzell - When asked whether groups should be closed, the answer is less clear: You see the future positively.

The problem: The daycare center, which is run by the non-profit GmbH Kinderzentrum Kunterbunt, suffers from a serious shortage of staff.

Three full-time employees are missing.

Five day care places are not occupied.

A total of 48 children can be cared for in four groups in the crèche.

Four group leaders, four supplementary workers and one jumper are planned.

The manager, two housekeepers and a cleaning company also work here.

Wednesday and Friday the crib is actually open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

However, the care times will be reduced from next week, reports Leisering.

The crib will open at 7.30 a.m. and close at 4 p.m.

Because of Corona, the children's facilities can no longer work across groups.

A regulation that, due to the lack of staff, can only be met through reduced care times.

Kindergarten teachers are currently in short supply.

In this case, however, it does not matter that the municipality pays the so-called conurbation allowance in its facilities, but the private providers such as the Sterntaler crèche do not.

Depending on the grouping, the bonus can mean more income of up to 270 euros per month, plus a children's allowance.

As Gröbenzell's treasurer Gregor Kamp reports, the crèche also pays its employees an allowance, namely 200 euros a month.

But the big competition is probably in Munich.

According to Kamp, many private children's facilities in the state capital increase the income of their employees by up to 800 euros.
