Grenoble
Avenue de la Falaise is aptly named.
Located in Sassenage, a neighboring town of Grenoble, it runs along the first foothills of the Vercors for a few hundred meters and crosses a small activity zone, whose buildings seem almost crushed by the weight of the nearby mountain.
It is here, in this quiet sector, that an arson attack claimed by the ultra-left libertarian targeted on the night of February 19 to 20 the company Constructel, a service provider of the operator Orange, specializing in installation of optical fiber.
A new passage to the act
Two days earlier, another company site, located in Brézins, about fifty kilometers from Grenoble, had also been affected by arson.
In both cases, the same operating mode was observed by the investigators, with several fires started on each of the sites.
In Brézins, the fires caused the destruction of five vehicles and several cable drums.
