The appearance of new variants of covid-19 is a great concern in the world.
One of the biggest tradeoffs is whether these new strains are resistant to vaccines.
Dr. Laurie Ann Ximénez-Fyvie, director of the Molecular Genetics Laboratory at UNAM, spoke with CNN to explain how dangerous the new covid-19 mutations are.
“There is already evidence in the world that these new variants are resistant to some vaccines.
It can get terrible in the coming months, ”says Ximénez-Fyvie.
