The General Secretariat of the General Conference of Arab Parties condemned the American aggression on areas in Deir Ezzor near the Syrian-Iraqi border, stressing that it is a clear and explicit violation of international law and a direct targeting of a sovereign state and a dangerous escalation in the region.

The General Secretariat indicated in a statement today that the US administration’s justifications for launching this aggression are invalid and are not based on facts.

The Secretariat stressed its full solidarity with Syria and support for its efforts to preserve the sovereignty of its land and people and fight terrorism until the liberation of all its lands.

For his part, Vice President of the Supreme Islamic Shiite Council Sheikh Ali Al-Khatib condemned the American aggression, pointing out that it constitutes a flagrant violation of the Syrian sovereignty and a described aggression that contradicts international laws and laws, stressing that Syria will remain insensitive to its enemies.

In turn, the Secretary-General of the Nation Movement in Lebanon, Abdullah Jabri, indicated that the American aggression confirms that the United States, the Israeli occupation entity and takfiri terrorism constitute an integrated unit in attacking peoples and their right to national liberation, independence and progress.

Syria condemned in the strongest terms the American aggression against areas in Deir Ezzor near the Syrian-Iraqi border yesterday evening and emphasized that it constitutes a negative indication of the policies of the new American administration, which are supposed to adhere to international legitimacy, not to the law of the jungle.
