While France is chomping at the bit while waiting for a hypothetical improvement on the health front, sensitive neighborhoods are the scene of new outbursts of violence targeting the police.

Thursday evening, around 7 p.m., the Sarcelles police station (Val-d'Oise) was suddenly attacked by around thirty strangers.

For a reason that remains to be determined, the thugs pebbled the facade before firing a dozen fireworks mortars.

The besieged police, supported by crews who had come as reinforcements, responded by throwing tear gas before restoring calm without any injuries to be deplored.

Three people, aged 17, 19 and 33, were arrested, including two for

“participation in an armed group”

and

“outrage and rebellion”

.
