Germering - The middle class is the backbone of our society.
Functioning, owner-managed retail, lively restaurants and services make a dormitory city an attractive quarter for young and old:
Germering - The chairwoman of the trade association Katrin Schmidt and the pharmacist Sebastian Baehs are convinced of this.
Both have been involved in retail and tourism in their region for years.
As a CSU city councilor, Katrin Schmidt is also a trade advisor and runs the “Bookmark” bookstore.
Now Sebastain Baehs, who in addition to his pharmacy in Starnberg also runs the one on Kurfürstenstrasse and in Germedicum, has come up with an action for the Germeringer Tafel.
He passes on the two euro contribution to the coupons issued by the federal government for FFP2 masks to the Germeringer Tafel.
He got the idea after talking to Kartin Schmidt.
She drew his attention to the difficult situation of the food bank, which, like many traders, is suffering from the lockdown: Without gastronomy, there is simply less left that can be donated locally.
“Two euros can be a lot or a little money,” explains Baehs.
Therefore, he initially refrained from accepting the personal contribution in his four pharmacies.
Due to urgent requests against this procedure, he had to refrain from doing so.
This is how the idea came about to give the collected money to where it is needed.
Baehs has now handed over a first donation check for 2500 euros to table manager Jürgen Quest.
It won't be the last, says the pharmacist: “That was January now.
And in February there were no fewer coupons.
So we'll see you again in March. "
