The police launched an anti-crime operation code-named "BRAVEDUKE".
At about midnight today (27th), officers from the Kowloon East Region raided a total of 4 units at No. 36 Tai Yau Street, San Po Kong, No. 47 Hoi Yuen Road, Kwun Tong and No. 2 Lei Yue Mun Road, Kwun Tong, and smashed 3 suspected premises. Approximately 700 cans of beer and 115 bottles of spirits were seized with a total value of approximately RMB 64,500.
During the operation, 8 male bar persons (aged 15 to 33) were suspected of "selling alcoholic beverages without a license", "possibly selling alcoholic beverages without a license" and violating the "Prevention and Control of Diseases (Regulations and Instructions)" ( Business and Premises) Regulations (Chapter 599F) were arrested; and 43 men and 29 women (aged 19 to 49) customers in the 3 unlicensed bars were arrested for "drinking in premises without a liquor license". The arrest was also involved in the violation of the Prevention and Control of Disease (Prohibition of Group Gathering) Ordinance (Chapter 599G) and was voted against.
Among them, in the unlicensed bar at No. 36 Tai Yau Street, the police seized three cigarettes suspected of containing cocaine. Among the arrested customers, seven women (aged 19-29) were also arrested for "possession of dangerous drugs". .
In addition, in the party room at No. 2 Lei Yue Mun Road, nine female customers (21 to 42) were also suspected of violating the "restriction order". The police issued a fixed penalty notice to them.
