A dramatic traffic accident with a
fatality
, a seriously injured and two slightly injured as well as significant damage occurred on Friday around 7 a.m. on Bundesstraße 2 near the Eschenloh industrial park.
The truck of a company from a municipality north of Murnau was coming from the south in the direction of Murnau when a Hyundai occupied by two people with a Weilheim license plate collided with it head-on, presumably due to a failed overtaking maneuver.
The collision was so violent that the truck overturned and blocked the entire lane.
The driver of the car died at the scene of the accident, her seriously injured passenger was flown to the Murnau accident clinic by rescue helicopter.

The truck driver also suffered a shock, as did the driver of an Opel with a Weilheim license plate, which was also involved in the collision but was only slightly injured in the front area.
The container truck's cargo, which was made of scrap metal, was thrown onto the street.
The Murnau fire brigade had rushed to the scene of the accident with 15 emergency services and four vehicles, the one from Eschenlohe with 30 people and three vehicles and the Ohlstadt team with 15 men and two vehicles.
The BRK was also represented with a large number of rescue workers and vehicles from the local area as well as from the districts of Weilheim-Schongau and Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen.
Half a dozen police officers determined the course of the accident and the identity of those involved.
Only around noon did the brigades manage to use rescue scissors and spreader to rescue the trapped deceased from the completely demolished car wreck.
The main road was completely closed into the afternoon, the traffic was largely diverted by the fire brigade.
To rescue the truck, a crane from a rescue company in Bad Tölz came to the scene of the accident, which put the heavy vehicle back on its wheels.
The amount of the damage could not be estimated by late afternoon.

A car and a semi-trailer collided head-on.
