First vaccination day in the Dominican Republic 3:04

The vaccination against the coronavirus of teachers in the Dominican Republic began this Thursday.
The Ministries of Education and Public Health, together with Vice President Raquel Peña, began the inoculation.
Peña indicated that, with the arrival of 768,000 doses of the Chinese Sinovac vaccine last Tuesday, the Government decided to promote the vaccination of this group, according to Noticias SIN.
The Ministry of Education reported that teachers of basic and initial education began to receive their injections in view of the reopening of blended classes.
In total 243,822 people who are part of the educational system will be inoculated nationwide.

Vaccination against the coronavirus in the Dominican Republic began on February 16.
President Luis Abinader said they expect to receive 21 million doses to vaccinate 7.8 million people over 18 years of age.
The vaccination plan has three phases, teachers are included in the first.
