Green economics expert Dieter Janecek: "Greens and industry, that goes well together"

Recently, the Greens caused quite a stir because their top staff had been critical of the construction of single-family homes in metropolitan areas.
They used "a lot of space, a lot of building materials, a lot of energy, they cause urban sprawl and thus even more traffic," said parliamentary group leader Anton Hofreiter to SPIEGEL.
The political opponent accepted the proposal with thanks and denounced the return of the old prohibition party.
The new industrial strategy, which was passed by the Greens in the Bundestag this week and which is available to SPIEGEL, reads completely differently.
Under the leadership of the Munich MP Dieter Janecek, a paper was created with which one wants to make an offer to the economy.
The strategy should enable “cleanly and socially acceptable produced goods, processes and services” and thus “sustainably secure the existence of industry in Europe and re-establish its strengths”, the resolution says.
The Greens are also approaching the Union as a possible coalition partner after the federal election in autumn.
They demand “reliable framework conditions” so that the economy can invest in climate-neutral technologies.
So they propose CO² pricing as an "ecological market framework".
However, they want to increase the cost of greenhouse gas emissions "quickly and in a predictable manner".
Plan provides for 5G expansion
In their industrial strategy, they are also campaigning for an increase in the production of green hydrogen - to twice as much as previously planned by the federal government.
The electrolysis capacity is to be increased to 10 gigawatts by 2030.
The Greens see the expansion of infrastructure, especially the digital one, as an important prerequisite for economic growth.
Therefore, in addition to expanding the 5G mobile communications standard, they also want to include the next higher 6G standard in their planning in good time.
"Green and industry go well together," Janecek told SPIEGEL.
"With our application, we show that we are serious about our offer for a climate-friendly transformation of industry while at the same time strengthening competitiveness."
