Federal Judge John Barker, who was appointed by former President Donald Trump, said that an authorized moratorium on evictions is unconstitutional | United States | CNN

Federal Judge John Barker, who was appointed by former President Donald Trump, said a moratorium on evictions authorized under the health emergency due to the covid-19 pandemic is unconstitutional.

Barker assured that even during the pandemic of the early 20th century, such measures had not been invoked.

The judge did not issue an immediate order, but said he was confident that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) would withdraw the measure.
