The Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party, Qatar, Yemen, and the Yemeni Social Nationalist Party condemned the American aggression on areas in Deir Ezzor near the Syrian-Iraqi border, stressing that it clearly and explicitly violates international law and directly targets a sovereign state, which seriously escalates the situation in the region.
The two parties said in a joint statement today, "We condemn and denounce the international silence about the unfair siege and repeated attacks on Syria, the land and the human being by the American administration ... and we call upon all the free people of the world to condemn the aggression and siege imposed on our Syrian Arab people and stand against the Zionist and American hegemony."
In turn, the General Coordinator of the Islamic Action Front in Lebanon, Sheikh Zuhair Al-Ju'id, condemned the American aggression, describing it as a barbaric and a continuation of the terrorist war that was launched against Syria.
Al-Juaid indicated that Syria is paying today the price for its honorable and pioneering stances in confronting all internal and external conspiracies, stressing the need to adhere to the resistance and unify the efforts of the sincere, free and honorable forces in the world to rally around it in the region.
For his part, Deputy in the Iranian Islamic Consultative Assembly, Shahriar Haydari, affirmed that the American aggression came to support the terrorist organization "ISIS", as it is a tool that Washington uses to undermine security in Syria.
Fars News Agency quoted Haydari as saying that "security in Syria makes America and the Zionist entity feel anxious, which is what pushed America to carry out its aggression," explaining that all American governments have a firm strategy through which they try to justify their occupation of areas in Syria and the region.
Today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates called on the UN Security Council to assume its responsibilities and take immediate action to stop the American attacks on Syrian lands and prevent their recurrence.
