A dog was involved in a traffic accident on the state road 2073 between Miesbach and Weyarn on Friday and was apparently injured.

- As reported by the Holzkirchen police station, a 25-year-old VW driver from the northern district of Miesbach was traveling north on the state road on Friday.
When he was at about 2:50 p.m. on the through-road in the Weyarner district of Thalham, a dog suddenly ran free in front of the car.
Due to the traffic, he was not able to take evasive maneuvers, emergency braking or the like, the police said.
The 25-year-old could no longer avoid the collision and hit the dog.
Driver sees dog still running after the accident
As the 25-year-old described to the police, he saw in the rearview mirror that the dog continued to run after the collision.
According to the description, the dog had blond fur, the shoulder height was about knee high.
The driver could not provide any information about a holder.
His VW was damaged on the right front bumper, the exact amount of damage initially remained unclear.
