Prince Philip is still in the hospital.

The reason for his son Charles' surprising visit is now clear.

Meanwhile, a death report caused confusion.

London - Prince Philip has been in hospital since February 16.

For a long time it was unclear how Queen Elizabeth II's husband is actually doing.

The reason for his admission to the clinic is now known.

The worries about the Royal do not end.

Both his grandson, Prince William, and his son, Prince Charles, had visited the now 99-year-old in the hospital.

His other grandson, Prince Harry, even prepared for an emergency in his adopted home in the USA.

Now there is new information about the hospital stay - and it will probably go a little longer.

Because Prince Philip has still not fully recovered from the infection that is not known in detail and that he has caught.

British media report that Philip will not be released from hospital this weekend either.

Instead, he should remain under medical observation until the next week.

First the

and the

Daily Mail

If these reports were confirmed, it would be the monarch's longest known hospital stay.

Prince Philip in the hospital: he called his son Charles over - for this serious reason

Worries about Philip, who is planning his 100th birthday this year, especially increased when his son Charles visited him at the clinic.

An absolute exception, as Buckingham Palace said that, presumably for security reasons due to the corona virus, no one was allowed to bedside him.

Now it should also be clear what the reason for the visit was - and it is quite serious.

In an interview with the

Mirror

, Dickie Arbiter, former press spokesman for the Queen, said that Philip must have spoken to Charles about the time he would sit on the throne.

So that means: Charles and Philip talked about Charles' possible reign after the Queen's death.

Accordingly, Philip is said to have told him that one day he would be “the leading man in this family”.

This would also explain why Charles later left the clinic, visibly emotional and close to tears.

Prince Philip in clinic in London: Whirlwind of death report from Australia

The fuss about Philips hospitalization is not decreasing worldwide.

A particularly unpleasant faux pas happened on this subject of an Australian newsroom - which probably caused a real shock moment for the Royals fans Down Under.

All of a sudden an obituary about the 99-year-old appeared.

The mishap was made by the "Sydney Morning Herald".

On their website, a text with the title “Prince Philip through the years” recently appeared surprisingly - but in the “Obituaries” section, which is known to be written about deceased people.

It is unclear whether the article was just published with the wrong category or whether the news site had already produced an obituary in macabre foresight, which was actually intended for a possible death of the prince and was published unintentionally.

The Royals fans on site can breathe a sigh of relief, because despite all the worries, Prince Philip is still among the living.

Incidentally, it is not the first time that Prince Philip has been accidentally pronounced dead.

In November 2020, around 100 pre-written obituaries for celebrities were unintentionally made public on a French radio station - including texts on Prince Philip and his wife, Queen Elizabeth.
