There is a poem by Giacomo Leopardi written two centuries ago and steeped in mysterious beauty that seems to take on special vividness in this time of limitations and uncertainties.
It's called
L'infinito
(The Infinite).
The poet describes in his verses the emotions and reflections that arise in his spirit when he is seated on a hill near a hedge that prevents one from contemplating the great expanses that open up behind him.
