Ahmed was with his son when he was shot in cold blood on Friday in the Nelson-Mandela neighborhood home. Devastated, he witnessed

In the plane that will take him this Sunday to Algeria, Ahmed Kaïd, takes the time to talk about the tragic end of his son, Aymane, 15, Friday in Bondy (Seine-Saint-Denis).

It is in the city of Sétif that the young man killed by a bullet in the chest will be buried in a few days.

“He was a lovely, helpful child.

He never looked for the stories.

We are lost.

I can't even touch his things.

His room remained closed ”, confides this devastated father, who literally saw his son die in his arms.

He had just been hit by a bullet.

His daddy who was standing next to him saw him for a short moment stand still without saying anything, then turn to him and say, "Daddy, it hurts."

“At first we thought it was a blank bullet, then I saw my thread walk and collapse.

I took off his T-shirt and that's where I saw the wound.

I tried to put him in a safe side position and talk to him to keep him conscious.

But neither he nor the emergency services managed to revive him.

He passed away shortly after.

"Daddy, they are able to kill us"

The attackers have been formally identified.

These neighborhood youth acted with their faces uncovered.

The next day, at 9 a.m., two suspects, aged 27 and 17, presented themselves to the police station to surrender.

“They were taken into custody for murder and it was extended,” said the Bobigny prosecutor's office.

The murder was therefore premeditated.

The shooter slipped his gun through the slot in the Mandela Space mailbox before opening fire.

Friday, Aymane is due to go to the Nelson-Mandela space, where he has been going regularly since he was little.

His father drops him off at 1:30 p.m.

Two hours later, a center official calls him and explains that two brothers had a fight with Aymane just in front of the center.

They decide to take the young man to safety.

“I said to Aymane:

You don't go out until I get there,

” says her father.

Once there, the two brothers are still there.

“The big one jumped on him.

I intervened.

Then they left, ”explains Ahmed.

Father and son return to the center.

But they are not quiet: "Aymane says to me:

Papa, you know, they are capable of killing us.

"

The inhabitants do not understand

Around 5 pm the two brothers return on a scooter.

They call Aymane who is standing behind the large wooden door.

But through the slot in the mailbox, the shooter slips the barrel of his gun and fires once, fatally injuring the teenager in the chest.

Aymane was reportedly killed amid a rivalry with another boxer, jealous of his talent.

Rym, a mother who came to lay a white rose on the threshold of the Nelson-Mandela center, sums up the state of mind of many people: “We don't understand”.

The motive that prompted this 27-year-old to coldly kill Aymane remains a mystery.

The Bobigny public prosecutor's office indicates "that a dispute had opposed the victim and his attackers for a year without the origin being known for the time being".

A rivalry in the ring that would have degenerated

But according to Aymane's father, it all started since his son joined the Cris Fight club in Bondy.

A club where he practices kick boxing and Muay Thai.

A very popular combat sport which has no less than 10,000 licensees in Seine-Saint-Denis and which fascinated the young victim.

“My son had a good level,” says Ahmed Kaïd modestly.

In fact, in one year Aymane managed to win a gold medal last season at the Ile-de-France championship, specifies Nadir Allouache, president of the French Federation of kick boxing and muay thai.

He had a future and could have become a great champion.

In this club, Aymane trained and fought regularly against the younger of the two brothers at the Bondy sports hall.

"Aymane beat him in a fight and that's how the story began," says his father who suspects a matter of pure jealousy.

He envied him because Aymane had abilities that the other did not have despite several years of practice.

Aymane was beaten with a baton in January

Resentment had already been expressed once.

Before the tragedy, there had already been a serious clash between Aymane and the elder brother.

It happened outside the rings on January 4.

Aymane had tried to dodge but he had been struck with a baton which had caused a large wound to the head.

“He had opened his head and had to be hospitalized,” says his father.

At the time, he was determined to file a complaint, but things had been settled thanks to mediation undertaken by the Nelson-Mandela center.

Everyone was convinced that things were settled, until that fateful Friday.

“I do not forgive him, slips Ahmed.

He will lose his youth in prison.

I want justice to condemn him as much as possible and that it serve as a lesson for others.

In a few days three young people died, that's enough ”, claims his father.

This Sunday, messages of condolence continue to flow.

A wall of flowers now covers the grid of the Mandela space and a vibrant tribute was paid by Kylian Mbappé, the star of PSG, originally from Bondy.

Like Aymane.
