"Became a radical left":

Many Labor activists have recently decided to abandon it and move to blue and white, and surprisingly also to the Likud and Gideon Saar's "New Hope".

The decision of the activists, some of them veterans, stems from the fact that there is a feeling among the activists that Labor has become an extreme left-wing party.

Things have sharpened following the outrageous posts by Abtisam Mara'a, who is ranked seventh on the Knesset job list, against IDF soldiers, her support for a terrorist operative and her unfortunate remarks about Holocaust survivors, who were not condemned by Chairman Merav Michaeli.

A Labor Party source told Israel Today: "There is a mass departure. The Labor Party has become a radical left and is losing its most important outposts, including in the Histadrut. Recently, following the story with Mara'ana, many have left. A large group of moshavim and workers' settlements have left blue Ben, who established a home for the retirees. "

"In addition, there is a dramatic transition to the Likud. Labor chiefs in the periphery have moved to the Likud, and the prominent activists in the center have moved to blue and white.

The senior Labor official added that "the driving force has left the work. Today the Labor Party has no infrastructure and no space. There are perhaps 20-30 Labor field workers all over the country, compared to thousands who were in the past. The feeling is of Michaeli's sole rule. "Aggressive. In my opinion, the Labor Party will not pass the blocking percentage. We always get fewer seats in elections than in the polls."

As mentioned in Ra'ana, No. 7 on the work list, she made a number of posts, including outrageous and extreme statements on various topics.

In November 2020, a post raised support for Islamic Jihad operative and administrative detainee, Maher al-Ahars, who had been starving for a long time.

In another post in July 2020, Maraana wrote that: "Another young man from the Gaza ghetto committed suicide tonight.

There is no hope for despair, the brutal occupation and the oppressive Hamas rule. "

In another outrageous post, written in December 2016, Maraana posted a picture of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on her Facebook page, along with a hanging rope.

This is a poster that was placed at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem, caused a stir and led to the interrogation of the student who designed it for the police on suspicion of incitement.

Maraana wrote in this post: "I stand behind her and by the side of the student from Bezalel," emphasizing that: "I do not know inciting art, I know inciting politicians."

Also, near the Day of Remembrance for the Martyrs of the Israeli Civil War, a post was published in which she wrote:

I decided to keep going and those were 2 wonderful minutes during the siren.

The road was empty, I kept thinking about what really interested me at that moment. '

In another post in April 2013, Maraana wrote in the context of Holocaust Remembrance Day: "How did the Holocaust affect the sex lives of Holocaust survivors?"

The chairman of the Labor Party, Merav Michaeli, at the time referred to the controversial posts and said:

It is enough to read the painful post she wrote when Esther Horgan was horribly murdered in the forest, to understand how much the woman opposes violence and does her best to eradicate it.

"The Labor Party is fully involved in action against violence and for peace. Self-defense of our borders and our right to live in this country is one thing, unnecessary violence is something that the State of Israel as a state has never advocated. We are committed to the Zionist vision - a state for the Jewish people with full equality. The work is back on track. '
