For his eighth fight in MMA, Ciryl Gane continues his flawless performance.
On the night of Saturday to Sunday, the French beat Surinamese Jaizinho Rozenstruik, and glean his eighth heavyweight victory in as many fights, his fifth in UFC.
Aged 30, he triumphed over his opponent by unanimous decision of the judges (50-45) and five rounds to zero.
A big performance against an opponent better classified than him which pushes him to have a lot of ambition: “I think I'm getting into the little papers.
Really I want people to take me seriously and to know that I am ready.
If you want to put me for the title, let's go.
There is no problem ”he declared after his success.
Greedy, he admits all the same that he would have liked to beat Rozenstruik on a KO or TKO and not to have to wait for the decision of the judges: “I would have preferred to finish him on the ground.
The basis was not to take any hits from him.
We aimed to finish the fight before the end to have a little bonus here and there.
There is still a little bitter taste.
But hey, that's okay.
We still come home with victory and a managed fight ”.
