An attempted burglary and falling from a building occurred in Ho Man Tin.
At about 3 am on Monday (March 1), a male security guard at an elementary school near Tian Kwong Road, No. 1 Nongpu Road, found a man flying from the ground floor of the school building and was injured and hurried to call the police.
It is understood that the man involved in the case was named Lin (66 years old). He sustained injuries to his forehead, hands and feet. After the incident, he was sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulances for treatment. He was still sober at the time.
Sources at the scene said that the male security guard suddenly heard a strange noise during the incident. During the inspection, a glass cracking sound suddenly came out from one of the rooms on the first floor. He felt something strange and immediately notified another security guard adjacent to the middle school to rush to assist.
The two looked around and found the man involved in the case in the ground planter.
The police found a screwdriver on Lin Nan after the incident. It was believed that someone had tried to commit an illegal act and arrested him on suspicion of "attempt burglary."
The Criminal Investigation Team of the Kowloon City Police District is learning whether the primary school involved has suffered losses.
