The updated price of a liter of gasoline is estimated at NIS 5.99, and consists of VAT and excise duty, which constitute 65% of its price. • The two factors that led to the increase are the price of a barrel of oil and the weakening of the shekel against the dollar.

Starting at midnight (Sunday to Monday), the price of a liter of unleaded 95-octane gasoline for the self-service consumer will climb by 27 cents and will reach NIS 5.99 per liter.
It should be noted that over the past month, the price of a barrel of oil has jumped by more than 18% and the shekel has weakened slightly against the dollar - the two factors that led to the price increase.
Keep in mind that this is the maximum price allowed, but there are stations that offer a slightly cheaper price.
The supplement for full service will be 21 agorot per liter (including VAT) - without change from the previous month.
The price of a liter of gasoline consists of several factors, including the tax component in fuel - VAT and excise tax - which is estimated at NIS 3.93, 65% of its price.
It will be recalled that only last May the price of gas at the stations was NIS 4.79 per liter - NIS 1.2 less than its price from midnight tonight. The highest price recorded so far for fuel at stations was in September 2012, when it was sold at NIS 8.25 per liter. The recovery from the global corona crisis and tensions in the Gulf are raising oil prices, which are expected to continue to rise in the coming months.
