The novel is the wider space to which novelist Iman Sharabati flies when she finds herself in the midst of the concerns of the homeland, society and people, to reach through her characters and developments of events her vision and the values she wants to broadcast.

The novelist, Sharabati, explained in an interview with Sana that she is not a stranger to the world of literature because her father was a poet and her sister was a novelist, so she initially turned to the story to be her first creator in cooperation with her sister entitled The Thoughts of Two Sisters who dealt with emotional, social and humanitarian concerns.

Sharabati, who relies a lot in the short story on condensation, revelation, encoding, imagination and the amazing ending, was published in her collection and before I fell for her, she found 16 stories that she collected from what she published on social media over separate periods and she carries the concerns of man and the Arab community and belongs to the type of short and medium length story.

Although its beginnings were with the story, Sharabati finds itself in the novel that provides the widest field for imagination in the valley with spaces for characters in addition to the breadth of the place in an attractive language indicating that the language of the story and the novel when it rises to poeticism suggests an intertwining of the arts, so we may find a painting drawn in the storytelling and the novelist together .

Regarding her first novel, “The Godfather,” Sharabati shows that she was her first novelist, which falls under the name of war literature. Damascus was the scene of its events that took place between 2010 and 2014, a love story that made these events and their repercussions a background to it as well as monitored the social reality with its personalities and contradictions because it believes that human personalities It is not always good nor cruel but rather a mixture between the two.

Regarding her novel, "Room No. 4", she points out that the Palestinian issue was its focus because it is the main concern of the Syrians, through which she narrates the story of a Palestinian woman who works in civil organizations and learns through it about the torture practiced by the Zionist occupation in its prisons.

As for Caroline's novel, which won the first prize of the Arab Writers Union, Damascus Branch, it tells about a group of passengers in a ship who remain at sea for a long time due to the quarantine caused by the Corona pandemic without being able to disembark at a port.

Sharabati believes that war literature is not necessarily the literature of military fronts and operations, indicating that many Syrian writers have accompanied the terrorist war on our country from many angles and there are books of high artistic and creative value and there are those who provided historical documentation only, referring to the importance of the story and fiction elements in writing about this Events that have not ended, which allows writers to continue monitoring them, which can turn into a historical document over time.
