The joint Iraqi forces launched a large-scale security operation to pursue the remnants of the terrorist organization "ISIS" in Diyala province, east of the country.
"A large-scale operation was launched this morning with the support of the aviation," the commander of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Operations in Diyala, Talib Al-Mousawi, said in a statement carried by Alsumaria News, pointing out that this operation was planned and implemented on the eastern Diyala axes and the western Diyala River, north of Jalawla district.
The Popular Mobilization Media Directorate also announced that the joint operation will continue for several days and aims to eliminate the remnants of terrorist elements in the Zour Al-Islah areas in the Khanaqin district.
The Iraqi forces continue to pursue the remnants of "ISIS" terrorists in various Iraqi regions.
