The Ministry of Culture of Peru reported that the Decentralized Directorate of Culture of Cusco decided to reopen visits for tourists to Machu Picchu starting this Monday.
Only a capacity of 40% of the sanctuary's capacity will be allowed, that is, a maximum of 897 people.
The authorities indicated that all visitors must wear a mask, keep physical distance between people and groups, and other security measures determined by the personnel of the Inca city.
The Ministry also reported that this Monday other archaeological parks will reopen throughout Cusco.
