Be'er Sheva police have opened an investigation into a suspect who sexually harassed a 14-year-old girl who was visiting the Grand Canyon in Be'er Sheva.
According to the complaint, the girl, who is in the eighth grade, visited the mall last Wednesday, and while wandering the shops, a young man with a Bedouin appearance approached her, touched and pinched her ass.
Her parents testified that the girl was shocked and out of shock was unable to shout, or call for help from passersby.
Only after her friend, who was with her, noticed the act, she shouted, called a security guard, and then the suspect fled the scene.
Following the incident, police officers who arrived at the mall seized a security video showing the incident being recorded on cameras. "Immediately upon receiving the complaint from the police, an investigation is underway which is currently underway," the police said. "We will continue to investigate the case thoroughly and take all necessary actions in order to arrive at an investigation of the truth."
