The first phase of the First Youth League for clubs tournament concluded with karate for the categories under 16, 18, 21 and over 18 for individual fighting and kata for males and females in the main hall in Al-Assad Sports City in Lattakia.
The Army Club came first, followed by al-Shula, then the Central Police, and the Under-18 category came first, followed by Tishreen, then Shaqa, and the over 18-year-old class won first place, the Army, then the Police, then Barada, and in the Under-21 category, Jaramana won the first place, followed by Lattakia Youth and then the Army. .
In a statement to SANA, the President of the Karate Federation, Jihad Mahmoud Mia, explained that this tournament will be held for the first time within the calendar of the federation and will be in three stages, after Lattakia, the second phase will be in Aleppo and the third in Damascus, pointing out that the purpose of it is to give the participating players classification points added to their balance in order to qualify for the superior ones To participate in the Premier League.
Mia praised the good technical level of the participating young players and the remarkable organization, noting that this level reflects the interest of their clubs in the game because the club is the main pillar for developing talents, upgrading, advancing, refining and qualifying them, which will positively affect our national teams.
It is noteworthy that the Karate Federation organized last month the Open Republic Championship for clubs and sports houses and achieved remarkable success in terms of great participation, arbitration, organization and remarkable results.
