Vaccine for corona
The FDA has approved Johnson & Johnson's Corona vaccine for emergency use
The vaccine became the third approved for use in the United States after Pfizer and Modernera vaccines.
The vaccine is given in only one dose, does not require special storage or cooling conditions, and is said to provide an immediate response to the fight against the country's serious illness.
Biden welcomed the confirmation, but warned out of complacency: "The battle is not over yet"

Johnson & Johnson: The vaccine we developed against Corona is 66% effective (Photo: Reuters)
The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) last night (Sunday) approved for emergency use the coronation vaccine from the pharmaceutical company Johnson & Johnson.
The company's vaccine is given in one dose only, and will be made into the third vaccine approved for use in the United States after Pfizer and Moderna vaccines.
The vaccine has been approved for use by those aged 18 and over, does not require special storage or cooling conditions, and is supposed to provide an immediate response to the needs of the country, where 511,000 deaths have been registered since the outbreak.
The Johnson & Johnson vaccine has been found to be 66% effective in preventing severe viral infections.
The distribution of vaccines in the United States is expected to begin as early as Monday, and about 20 million vaccine doses are expected to reach the country by the end of March.

US President Joe Biden welcomed the emergency permit granted for the vaccine, but warned Americans to refrain from complacency.
"This is exciting news for all Americans, and encouraging development in our efforts to end the crisis. We know that the more people are vaccinated, the faster we will overcome the virus," he said.
Biden made it clear that "the battle is not over yet," and asked the Americans to continue to maintain social distance and the use of masks.
"There is light at the end of the tunnel, but we cannot lose concentration or assume victory is inevitable. We must continue to remain alert, act quickly and aggressively and keep an eye on each other - that is how we will reach this light together."

The Johnson & Johnson study involved more than 44,000 volunteers, mostly in the United States, South Africa, and Latin America.
The results of the study showed that in the United States it is 72% effective, while its effectiveness in preventing serious illness has reached 86%.
For comparison, in the two-dose Pfizer and Modernera vaccines, the efficacy rate is around 95%.
