A male TVB TV city worker demolished the set board at the video studio, and was hit by the board and injured!
At around 8 am today (28th), the police received a report stating that two men in the Television Broadcast City (TVB), 77 Chun Choi Street, Tseung Kwan O Industrial Estate, fell off a building accidentally while working.
It is reported that at the time workers were removing the hanging scenery board and arranging the iron wires of the scenery board, one of the iron wires was disconnected.
The hanging backdrop swayed like a "swing", hitting two male workers one after another.
They stumbled and fell to the ground and were injured. One of the male workers fainted and then recovered sober. The two were taken to hospital by ambulance. The police are investigating the incident.
In response to media enquiries, the Wireless Corporate Communications Department stated that at 8:15 am today (28th), when four members of the Art Department's setting team were disassembling a large setting board in the studio, the iron wire that fixed the setting board was suddenly disconnected. One of the employees was hit by the scene board and injured his head. After calling the police, he was sent to Tseung Kwan O Hospital by ambulance for treatment. The injured was conscious when he was sent to the hospital.
