The CSU city council group currently sees no reason to discuss a change to the city stadium on the Volksfestplatz.

Erding - That's what their spokesman Burkhard Köppen and sports advisor Janine Krzizok told our newspaper on Sunday.

The planning of a new tool shed for the Erding fire brigade on Anton-Bruckner-Straße has "no direct planning reference" to the municipal TSV stadium.

The parliamentary group of Mayor Max Gotz is reacting to the reports in our newspaper about the new fire stations and the protest of the clubs who fear for their stadium.

Gotz had confirmed that the football field with grandstands could be available.

"The uncertainty that has arisen among club officials at TSV Erding and the Erding Bulls about any other use of the entire area is completely unnecessary," emphasizes Köppen.

For the new fire station and the district disaster control facilities, the specific planning according to the current status of the fire service requirements plan of the district fire inspection will only begin this year.

The CSU does not expect completion before 2023/24.

"Whether a different use for the entire stadium area should be politically desired and necessary in terms of urban planning in four to five years' time can only be discussed when specific facts are on the table of the city council," said Köppen.

Then new city council resolutions are required.

The CSU also wants to wait for the development of municipal finances.

Due to the corona pandemic, Köppen and Krzizok expect tax shortfalls this year and in the following years.

That could reduce voluntary benefits considerably - and sport is one of them.

Krzizok makes it clear that the new Gerd-Vogt-Sportpark adjacent to the TSV-Stadion with several (artificial) grass pitches and a triple hall represents a “long overdue addition” for school and club sports and not a “replacement function for the old TSV-Stadion ".

She also promises that the two previous training grounds of the TSV and the Bulls will be renovated "in the foreseeable future".
