Under the motto "Set table", the restaurateurs and hoteliers will set a table in front of their business between 10 am and 2 pm in order to draw attention to the desperate situation of the businesses and the current lack of prospects.
According to information from the Dachau Dehoga district association,
20 inns and hotels

will take part in the campaign.
The demands of the innkeepers are clear, says Dehoga board member Christopher Schreiner: “We want to finally open again!” And if the federal-state representatives at their meeting on Wednesday, March 3rd, do not decide that the restaurant should be reopened "then we want at least a perspective, a concrete plan".
According to Schreiner, he has not yet heard any responsible scenarios for which entrepreneurs could prepare.
He himself is doubly affected by the lockdown, his family runs the Hotel Staffler with Schreiner's restaurant in Odelzhausen.

Last summer he invested a good 10,000 euros in the safety of his guests: he bought an air filter for 6,000 euros, the Plexiglas separating panes cost him 1,000 euros and disinfectants in 0.1 liter packaging that women even use being able to put in their handbag also cost more than 2500 euros.
However, according to Schreiner, these investments did not seem enough to politicians.
But if he then drives past a “brimming bus stop”, then “I never understand the difference”!
What also annoys him and his colleagues: The aid promised by the government would not arrive: "I still haven't received the December aid to this day."
Speaking of employees: As a medium-sized family business, he naturally wants to avoid having to fire employees.
Many entrepreneurs would therefore slide into existential crises.
“It doesn't work without a good connection to the house bank,” says Schreiner.

Schreiner has long been convinced that a further extension of the gastro closure would not only harm the hosts, but also the health of many people.
Because: "The only thing that the lockdown still promotes are private parties."
In the district of Dachau, teachers and educators have also moved forward in prioritizing vaccinations.
