Damascus-Sana
Dedicated to the Higher Institute of Music's vision of enhancing the practical side and allowing them to appear before the public as soloists or in groups, three students of the piano department of the institute performed a classical musical evening in the multi-use hall of Dar Al-Assad for Culture and Arts.
The evening was attended by students, Wissam Abu Asi, Yasmine Mohamed and Tariq Al-Sharabi under the supervision of musician Aida Momjian, in which he played musical pieces by the major composers who left immortal works on the piano, namely Beethoven, Franz Schubert, Frederick Chopin and Hartonian.
The students presented pieces that are considered among the mothers of classical piano playing in the form of a solo player, except for the student Abu Asi, who played with his teacher, Momjian, as an accompaniment to Beethoven's Piano Concerto 4.
It is noteworthy that the Higher Institute of Music in Damascus was established on November 16, 1990, and the duration of the study is 5 years in various specializations in playing Arabic and Western music, oriental and operatic singing, to obtain a license in music.
