A US media company has created an international corona ranking based on factors such as the number of cases and vaccine allocation.
Germany is behind.

According to a study by the US news company
Bloomberg
, there is a lot of room for improvement.
Since November 2020, the media company has been comparing the way 53 countries deal with the corona virus.
The ranking has now taken place for the fourth time - the values for the February ranking have now been determined.
Eleven different factors are examined.
Including the number of cases and deaths, but also the access and allocation of vaccines.
Criteria relating to quality of life are also included: for example still existing freedom of movement under the aspect of "Community Mobility".
International corona ranking: study provides sobering results for Germany
The result for Germany is sobering.
The Federal Republic of Germany lands in 34th place and is behind countries such as Great Britain and the USA that have been badly hit by Corona.
But wasn't German crisis management previously also praised in an international comparison?
The main reason for the poor performance in the ranking is the high number of deaths.
When it comes to the allocation of vaccines, Germany also does not get very good marks - even if access to vaccines is generally rated as good.
In
Bloomberg's
“Covid Resilience Ranking”, Germany achieved a “Resilience Score” of 51.1.
New Zealand, which, as in the previous rankings, is considered to be the front runner, achieved a value of 77.2.
Australia also performed very well with 72.6 and Singapore with 71.3.
As the best European country, Finland ranks fourth with a score of 67.6.
