The Ministry of Education updated today (Tuesday) that only two-thirds of teaching staff have been vaccinated or recovered from the virus.

The ministry estimated, based on the vaccine data published by the Ministry of Health on the general public, that in addition to the teaching staff who were vaccinated in the first dose, the figure has risen to about 80% since the operation began in late December.

The data show that 160,000 of the 243,000 teaching staff received the second dose or fell ill in Corona and recovered.

By sector, it appears that in the general sector 87,000 out of 118,000 were vaccinated or recovered, 74%, in the religious sector 27,000 out of 42,000 people did so, 64%, in the ultra-Orthodox sector 19,000 out of 32,000, 59%, and in the non-Jewish sector 27,000 out. 51 thousand - 53%.
