Dramatic decision: The
High Court decided today (Monday) that anyone who has undergone a Reform or Conservative conversion in Israel will be recognized as a Jew.
The High Court actually recognized a reform and constitutive conversion held in Israel, and turned conditional orders previously issued on the subject into absolute orders.
The court wrote in its decision that "the petitioners are Jews for the purposes of the Law of Return." The decision was made by a majority of opinions.
