After four months in lockdown, some industries in Bavaria will be allowed to resume operations from March.

Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen

- “When I found out that we could open again, I immediately got all the scissors sharpened.” Sabine Sziedat, owner of the “Hairg'richt” hairdressing salon in Benediktbeuern, was full of the reopening after the lockdown Prepared for anticipation.

She is enormously relieved to finally be able to receive customers again, she says.

Likewise, her customers have apparently been looking forward to the big day.

By the end of March, “almost all of the appointments are already taken,” says Sabine Sziedat.

End of the corona lockdown: five days preparation time for cosmetic studios

In the past few days, she phoned customers who had appointments during the lockdown time.

“Everyone was very happy that I approached them,” she says.

"And then of course those who didn't have an appointment and new customers came in." Organizationally, that was a lot of work.

"But of course we were better off than the cosmetic studios," says the woman.

"They found out about the opening spontaneously."

Ina Dyballa, for example, only had five days to prepare everything for the reopening of her Lenggries cosmetic studio "Kleine Träumereien".

“Fortunately, I already had all the equipment there,” she says.

Her studio had been empty since November 2nd.

"I used the time to rearrange."

Corona in Bavaria: People fear a third lockdown - and want a quick appointment

For now it is well booked.

"Many regular customers wanted to have an appointment right away, and there were also some who were given vouchers." You can tell that there is great uncertainty as to how long the studios can stay open.

Alexandra Greß, owner of the Tölz cosmetic studio “Hautnah”, also notes: “Most customers are pushing for a timely appointment after the long period of closure.” Therefore, there was a lot to do in terms of coordination.

In general, however, the beautician is happy to start again.

"During the lockdown, two studios in the district closed," says Alexandra Greß.

“That is of course bad for the owners.

But I'm also very happy about new customers. "

After the end of the lockdown: DIY megastores with garden centers have everything set up seasonally

In the Hagebaumarkt Schneider in Bad Tölz, preparations were in full swing a few days before the opening, according to store manager Christian Kerndl.

In the lockdown, 90 percent of the workforce were on short-time work.

From March everyone can go back to work as usual.

It was important to "set up the shop seasonally".

In other words: to set up the garden, barbecue and camping exhibition.

“To do this, we fill up all the shelves and the entire garden center has to be in place,” says Kerndl.

The store manager did not expect an opening on March 1st.

But: “We were good in time.

Since I was speculating on an opening on March 8th, the decision did not take us out of the blue. "

The relief is also great in the Holzmann garden center in Bad Heilbrunn.

"We grow our spring goods ourselves, it would have been bad if the local plants that were laboriously grown were spoiled," explains owner Jürgen Kling.

The interim solution Call & Collect has been accepted “only extremely moderately”.

Therefore, the opening is now "vitally necessary".

Over the past few days everything has been prepared with combined forces: "I also trained the employees how everything should work with a view to the hygiene concept," explains Kling.

It was similar with Sabine Sziedat.

"We went through our concept together and cleaned it up again thoroughly."

That she is suddenly allowed to unlock the doors again after many weeks of compulsory break: That surprised Stephanie Jäger, manager of the Tölzer flower shop Wetterstetter.

“But of course positively,” she says.

Click & Collect was not a permanent solution.

"The customer contact is totally lost." You have now significantly increased the order and decorated the shop space for Easter.

"Now we're putting plants outside the shop," she reports.

The short lead time was not a big problem.

"We mainly work with fresh goods, two weeks beforehand we couldn't have done much more anyway."

Despite the end of the corona lockdown: At music schools only one-to-one lessons at first

Music schools are now also allowed to practice face-to-face lessons with their students again.

“We burned for that,” says Harald Roßberger, director of the Bad Tölz music school.

But the short preparation time was a challenge.

“There was a lot to clarify.

For example, we had to organize large rooms for the teachers who teach wind instruments or singing, i.e. where masks are not possible, ”explains Roßberger.

The appointment, however, was not a problem.

"We gave 99 percent of all students online classes during the lockdown, and those times remain."

As of today, only one-to-one tuition is generally possible.

So the big bands and choirs still have to be patient - and early musical education cannot yet take place, explains the music school director.

But the joy of face-to-face teaching currently predominates - among students and teachers.

“We were happy about the online version,” says Roßberger, “but it simply cannot be compared with normal lessons.

I am relieved that we can say goodbye to it again. "
