Disaster in Or Akiva:
A crane collapsed today (Monday) at a construction site in the Or Yam neighborhood of the city, and a 45-year-old worker was captured under it. MDA medics and paramedics found him without signs of life and determined his death. MDA paramedics Lior Almkeys and Lee Am Levy said: "When we arrived at the construction site we saw the crane that collapsed on its side. The wounded man, a 40-year-old man, was trapped beneath him unconscious and suffering from a multi-system injury. We performed medical tests but he was without signs of life and we have no choice but to determine his death."
Yaakov Maman, a paramedic from the Rescue Union, said: "According to the workers at the scene, he was killed as a result of a crane collapse. Unfortunately, his death was determined at the scene due to the nature of the incident."
