A citizen died and two others were injured in a traffic accident on the international highway, Homs-Tartous, near the Hilal fuel station in the western countryside of Homs.
Brigadier General Ghayath Aqil, Director of the Civil Defense Branch in Homs, said in a statement to SANA's correspondent that the cause of the accident was due to a technical defect in a van, which made it deteriorate outside the road, indicating that the civil defense personnel evacuated the injured and brought them to the hospital in Homs to receive appropriate treatment.
