The driver who was attacked and ran over to death a man in Jerusalem was taken for questioning: "He felt danger and tried to escape"
The suspect, a resident of East Jerusalem, turned himself in to police after the incident, in which rioters in the city were documented attacking his vehicle before running over the 47-year-old.
He was released overnight from the hospital and reached police

A resident of East Jerusalem suspected of trampling to death a man yesterday (Sunday) in Jerusalem was taken for police investigation, after being released from the hospital overnight.
According to sources involved in the details of the investigation, he claims that he "felt danger and tried to escape" at the moment of the incident, in which he hit a 47-year-old city resident on Third Wall Street with a commercial vehicle.
