The Commerce and Economic Development Bureau held a press conference earlier to release the report on the governance and management review of Radio Hong Kong.

The Director of the Bureau of Commerce and Economics Yau Tenghua said at the time that RTHK has the dual role of a public broadcaster and a government department and should refer to the RTHK Charter.

He quoted the report as criticizing that there have been many problems in the management of Hong Kong and Taiwan, including the lack of editorial management system, weak sense of accountability, insufficient personnel management, and lack of transparency in the complaint mechanism.

The Hong Kong and Taiwan trade unions refuted the report's allegations and denounced the team "if you want to add a crime, you can do nothing wrong."
