Armenian President Armen Sarkissian called on all political forces in the country to avoid confrontation and to ensure that Armenia's stability is not subjected to any shocks.

Russian Novosti news agency quoted Sarkissian as saying in a speech to the Armenian people today, "It is not permissible for the political struggle to go beyond the limits of law and legitimacy, and it should not lead to clashes and instability, and the contradictions should not turn into mutual hatred and intolerance, nor should they lead to division and division." .

Sarkissian stressed that the country today needs unity and solidarity, noting that tolerance is vital for Armenia and its people.

On the 25th of last month, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced the dismissal of the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Onik Kasparian, and said in a statement, "The dismissal papers of Kasparian and his deputy were signed before the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces issued a statement calling for my resignation," where he described the staff statement as "An attempted military coup."

Today, the capital, Yerevan, will witness the organization of two rallies, the first for the opposition supporters and the second for the Pashinyan supporters.
