Reichenkirchen - Many district citizens took part in the fate of the mother of three from Reichenkirchen and supported the family with donations as part of our readers' aid organization "Licht in die Herzen".

Daniela Schaurer fought cancer for two and a half years, was never bitter, confident and full of hope until the end.

“With her positive nature, she has always succeeded in encouraging other people who shared her fate,” says Björn Schaurer.

The 42-year-old nanny was born in Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm and grew up in Scheyern, mainly with her beloved grandma.

The couple's last outing on Valentine's Day also went to Scheyern Monastery.

“I don't know if she already felt that it was coming to an end, but she pushed so hard for us to go there,” says Björn Schaurer.

She wanted to visit grandma's grave, "but we couldn't do that with the wheelchair," he regrets.

The 42-year-old was very religious.

“We didn't go to church every Sunday,” says the widower, “but she prayed a lot - and not just at the end”.

She also had a close relationship with deacon Christian Pastötter from Reichenkirchen.

In the presence of the entire family, Pastötter gave Daniela and Björn the church blessing on their deathbed.

She finally accepted her fate, her husband knows, but she still had a few more milestones.

“She would have loved to see our daughter in her beautiful graduation dress after high school graduation.” She didn't want to leave at the end of her life either.

The widower wanted to give everyone who knew and accompanied his wife the opportunity to say goodbye to her.

He had the coffin set up with his wife in the funeral hall in Reichenkirchen.

Many wrote a message on the coffin for her.

The mother and wife also left their loved ones last touching messages.

On the day of her death, Björn Schaurer discovered four video messages on his mobile phone - for him, daughter Emilia (16) and sons Eric (24) and Philip (19).

He only reveals this much: "She believes in us, she knows that we can do it and looks down on us from above."
