Myanmar: Prime Minister Aung San Suu Kyi's first public appearance

A month ago the military carried out a coup in Myanmar and Aung San Suu Kyi, the civilian country chief, was placed under house arrest. Her whereabouts have long been uncertain - now video recordings are showing her in court.

In Myanmar, the disempowered de facto head of government Aung San Suu Kyi appeared in public for the first time since the military coup a month ago.

The Nobel Peace Prize laureate was shown on video at her first hearing in court.
