Calls for the resignation of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo are mounting after a third woman accused him of abusive behavior toward her yesterday (Monday).

The complainant, who was interviewed by the New York Times, is a 33-year-old woman named Anna Roth, who claims that Cuomo tried to kiss her during a wedding that took place in 2019.

Roth claims that during the wedding, Cuomo put his hands on her waist in a surprising and unexpected way.

She said she immediately pulled herself back and was "confused, shocked and very embarrassed" following the incident.

Following the new allegations some Republicans urged the New York governor to resign.

New York City Mayor Bill de Bellasio called for a comprehensive investigation and called the allegations "extremely disturbing."

In addition, along with other elected officials, de Bellasio said that as long as Cuomo is under investigation, he must relinquish the emergency powers in his hands since the plague broke out almost a year ago.

"Cuomo's pattern of sexual harassment and predatory behavior is unacceptable," tweeted New York City Councilman Antonio Rhinos, adding, "he must resign."

As mentioned, three women have so far complained against Cuomo, when last week the New York Times interviewed Charlotte Bennett, the governor's former assistant, claiming that Cuomo allegedly had a conversation with her about her sex life, asking if she had slept with older men.

Cuomo, for his part, responded: "I never intended to act inappropriately."

According to a report in the New York Times, Bennett noted that the governor did not try to touch her, but could not be mistaken for the intent behind his questions in that case.

"I realized the governor wanted to sleep with me and I felt scared," Bennett said.

"I did not know how to get out of it and assumed my job had come to an end."

After that conversation, Bennett turned to the head of his staff and was subsequently transferred to another position.

According to the New York Times, Bennett did not demand an investigation because she said she was satisfied with her new job and wanted to "move on."

Bennett and Roth's allegations join another indictment she filed last week against Cuomo a complainant named Lindsay Boylan, who also worked with the governor.

According to her, between the years 2018-2016 she was harassed by Cuomo several times, and in one of them he even kissed her on the lips against her will.

According to the report, the Cuomo bureau claimed Boylen's statements were untrue and called for an investigation into her allegations.
