To increase vaccinations in Italy, where the third wave of the pandemic threatens, Mario Draghi has decided to change the command of the vaccination plan.
The new Prime Minister has entrusted the organization of the campaign to the great General Francesco Paolo Figliuolo,
"the greatest Italian expert in the logistics of the armed forces".
Sign of recentralization, this 60-year-old soldier will report directly to Mario Draghi on the evolution of vaccinations.
After starting very strong, the campaign peaked at 100,000 injections per day, a pace that will not achieve the immunity of the population at the end of the summer.
For this, General Figliuolo is thinking of promoting temporary mono-injection like the British, and going to 300,000, or even 500,000 daily vaccinations.
